New Camera
After months of waiting I finally got my brand new Canon 1d Mark III . For those of you who have not heard about the the new 1D3 it is the new top of the line pro camera on the market. The current Nikon's and the older Canon's don't even come close to the power of this camera (it 10 pictures a second, each of which are 10+ megapixels).I took out my new 1D3 last night to try out the new "liveview" feature on some fireworks shots. It worked great. Liveview lets me see everything I normally would through the viewfinder on the LCD screen in real time. While I don't anticipate using this all that often for weddings or portraits it was great for fireworks because I could enjoy the show without my face to the camera the whole time. I wasn't really going for stellar shots as much as I just wanted to try out this new feature but I did end up with a few "keepers".
Also as a special bonus I thought I'd post a pic of Olivia from today as she tried to clean up the house in preparation for our 4th of July party. This was also shot with the new Canon Mark III. More pictures from this new gear in the next few days.
